Who are we?
The Furniture and Accessories Innovation Cluster of Durango, A.C. (CIMAD) is a non-profit civil association that drives the competitive, innovative, and sustainable development of the furniture and accessories sector in the state of Durango.
CIMAD brings together the various players in the value chain, from raw material transformation to commercialization, and operates under a triple helix collaboration model, linking the business sector, academia, and government to develop solutions aligned with the industry's real needs.
The cluster's strength lies in the diversity of productive specialties that make it up. In addition to furniture manufacturers, it brings together companies and professionals who contribute complementary materials and processes, such as specialized surfaces, enabling the production of finished furniture and comprehensive solutions for different markets.
With a forward-looking vision, CIMAD sees itself as a dynamic, evolving cluster, open to incorporating new specialties and materials, strengthening local supply chains, and increasing the added value of furniture made in Durango.

History
CIMAD was formally established in 2019, through the joint initiative of companies in the sector, educational institutions, and government agencies, with the goal of organizing, strengthening, and promoting the state's furniture sector.
Currently, the cluster is in a stage of consolidation and projection, driving strategic initiatives that strengthen the sector's competitiveness and lay the foundations for its sustainable growth.
